Bensalem, PA (August 18, 2015) – Livengrin Foundation (“Livengrin”) and Parx Casino® today announced a new partnership to support the prevention and treatment of gambling addiction. Over the next three years, Parx Casino® will donate a total of $75,000 to Livengrin to help fund its gambling addiction recovery program. Parx Casino®, located only a mile and a half from Livengrin, is the first and only Pennsylvania casino to create a partnership with a private organization such as Livengrin to help combat gambling addiction in Pennsylvania.  

As part of the initiative, Parx Casino® has produced Livengrin referral materials for gambling addiction including a brochure and rack card that are placed within the casino. Livengrin will provide Parx Casino’s responsible gaming committee with updates on its gambling addiction programs twice per year.

“We applaud Parx Casino® for enhancing their efforts to ensure that patrons who are struggling with life-issues related to problem gambling can have a certified counselor quickly available and accessible to them—letting them know that we are nearby and ready to help anyone who feels like they could benefit from talking to a professional about their concerns,” said Rick Pine, President & CEO of Livengrin Foundation. “The support Parx is offering will help provide fast and free access to a counselor who can help the individual determine what their options are for addressing their problems related to gambling.”
